    Associate - Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate StrategyCountry: United States of America

    The Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis manages one or more processes, projects, or procedures within the Financial Planning & Analysis function.

    S/he will provide well-analyzed, data driven recommendations and conclusions to inform strategic decision making. S/he will also identify process improvements and work cross functionally within the organization, influencing others regarding financial objectives, impacts, FP&A policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in revenue-generating organizations, finance and other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes.
  • Conducts cadenced and ad hoc financial and economic analysis, forecasting through use of financial models and evaluates alternate financial plans.
  • Prepares, analyzes, interprets and maintains internal and external information related to economic policy, rates of return, depreciation, investments and operational and financial results.
  • Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements, balance sheets and prepares reports on findings to inform budgeting and cost recommendations to management.
  • Develops, improves, independently manages one or more processes (financial models, reporting, projects, systems, procedures, or products) within the Financial Planning & Analysis structure.
  • Enhances the financial understanding of business lines, products and segments to aid reporting, forecasting and strategic business decision making.
  • Influences others regarding financial objectives, impacts, FP&A process policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Recommends industry and peer data sources to enhance reporting with benchmarks to support business cases.

    Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, preferably focused in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, etc.
  • Work Experience: + years; FP&A, Financial Services, Investment Management or related fields. Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services Industry is a plus.
  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling, and problem-solving skills utilizing data and financial trends.
  • Demonstrated financial modeling knowledge and skills with strong analytical, qualitative, and critical thinking ability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive issues/projects to closure.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to listen and interpret the requirements of internal clients, plan accordingly, and exceed expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels of management.
