    Description

    Details:

    L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Safety and Risk Manager.

    • Proactively develop, plan, direct and implement safety program to ensure a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment
    • Delivers and provides oversight safety program including the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures under the guidance of the Safety Director and Senior Management
    • Develops and implements project-specific safety policies and procedures
    • Enforces compliance with all applicable Federal, State, County, and Local safety related regulations
    • Directs safety training program to all levels of staff, as required, by Federal and State safety regulations to reduce accidents, occupational illnesses and exposure to long-term health hazards
    • Supports the on-site construction compliance managers in ensuring each construction project is conducting operations in a safe manner for the protection of employees, contractors, subcontractors, and the general public
    • Coordinates with project management so that necessary protective equipment and safety materials are available; adequate first aid materials are available; and safety documents are posted on-site
    Job Requirements

    Details:
    • Bachelor's Degree in safety management, engineering, environmental or occupational safety, industrial hygiene, chemical, physical or biological
      sciences, ergonomics, architecture, construction, construction safety, etc.
    • Minimum 6 years related experience
    • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
    • Experience with construction safety contractor management programs or providing oversight for 3rd party services/contractors
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficient computer skills (i.e.: Windows environment, Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Oracle, etc.)
    • Strong business administrative skills (i.e.: presentations, report and letter writing, time management, etc.
    • OSHA 30 certification in Construction Safety
