    Description

    • The Associate Director, Auxiliary Services will report to the Director, Auxiliary Services and take over daily control of the capital planning process for the entirety of Auxiliary Services, including the Purdue Memorial Union, Union Club Hotel, Stewart Center, Krach Leadership Center, Retail Dining, Parking Services, daycare centers and others as needed within the unit.
    Additionally, the Associate Director will maintain the daily facility service functions in our hospitality epicenter which will include dock/receiving, maintenance services and audio/visual services.

    The expansive capital program in Auxiliary Service has annual expenditures of approximately $5 to $8 million which consists of assessments, feasibility studies and repair and rehabilitation work.

    Other larger scale capital work could likely be involved as well.


    What We're Looking For:

    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in related fieldSix (6) years of relevant experience requiredThree (3) years in a supervisory level, requiredAn equivalent combination of education and required work experience may be considered

    Skills Needed:
    Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to write comprehensive reports, plan projects, and maintain various forms of documentationDemonstrated strength in budget management and proven leadership ability is necessary for coordination of people and resourcesAbility to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with diverse workgroups on campus including but not limited to clerical/service staff, administration, and facultyAdaptability and resourcefulness are essentialAnalytical and reasoning skills are necessary for evaluation processes, judgment, and independent actionExcellent organizational and change-based skillsStrong computer skills in word processing, email, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint necessary
