As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure projects are executed flawlessly. Your technical expertise will be crucial in addressing design challenges, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. You'll manage budgets and schedules, facilitating effective communication among all stakeholders to keep projects on track.
We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding of engineering principles and construction methods, particularly in healthcare settings. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be essential as you conduct site inspections, prepare project schedules, and support sustainability initiatives.
Ideal candidates will have a degree in civil engineering or a related field, relevant work experience, and familiarity with healthcare regulations. Certifications like PMP or LEED accreditation are a plus

A Brief Overview
Plans, organizes, manages and is responsible for all document control and distribution processes and systems for the Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) Department, including all construction project-related documentation received from and sent to the contractor, architect, and internal staff from initial planning and early development of a project through its completion.

What you will do
- Meets regularly with all the parties involved to stay abreast of and track the status of construction projects at all stages. Prepares meeting agendas as needed and records and distributes minutes summarizing matters discussed and actions approved.
- Scan, distribute, and file documents including (but not limited to) project designs, drawings, specifications, estimates, and correspondence to the appropriate archival repository.
- Verify and correct project-related documentation where needed.
- Ensures that document control and distribution systems, processes, and procedures are organized, accurate, clear, and complete.
- Maintains effective and on-going communications with construction and contractor management teams.
- Provides initial review of pay applications, change orders, and other incoming construction documents.
- Performs other project engineering and project management-related duties as well as incidental duties as needed or assigned.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Degree in a work-related discipline/field (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management) Preferred
- Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree is in addition to the experience requirements for this position.
Experience Qualifications
- Three or more years of related experience in construction, design, or construction management Required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of and ability to use project management tools.
- Knowledge of CAD system, CAFM, estimating, cost control, scheduling, construction administration, quality control, and specific writing and place planning.
- Knowledge of technical and professional requirements in the fields of healthcare delivery, architecture, and the building design process, and construction.
- Knowledge of project management, accounting, construction design, construction methods, building materials, sustainability, mechanical and electrical construction, cost estimation, building codes and standards, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of OSHPD forms, applications, fees, permits, test, and inspection forms.
- Knowledge of RFI, PCO, submittal, and invoicing processes.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite business software applications.
- Ability to organize and complete project documentation.
- Ability to read drawings and schematics.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work within deadlines ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at each step.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with and gain the cooperation of others at all levels, both within and outside SHC.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $ $74.00 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
