Job Opening: School Counselor or Social Worker (ESY)

Location: Lake Ariel, PA
Position Type: Extended School Year (ESY)
Caseload: Elementary
Hours: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Duration: 16 days total

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated School Counselor or Social Worker to support our Extended School Year (ESY) program in Lake Ariel, PA. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged students and a commitment to providing social-emotional support and counseling services to help students succeed academically and thrive in the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students in the elementary grades.
Support students in developing social-emotional skills, coping strategies, and problem-solving techniques.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address student needs and concerns.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' social-emotional strengths and areas for growth.
Develop and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as needed to support students with behavioral challenges.
Facilitate social skills groups and other therapeutic activities to promote positive peer interactions and social development.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions.

Requirements:

Master's degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Pennsylvania state certification or license as a School Counselor or Social Worker.
Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school or clinical setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of evidence-based counseling techniques and interventions.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Commitment to promoting the social-emotional well-being and academic success of all students.
