    Chief Electrical Estimator

    With connections to over 575 electrical contractors, we are currently seeking a seasoned Chief Electrical Estimator to join one of our partner firms.


    Job Description:


    We are seeking an experienced Chief Electrical Estimator to lead our estimating team and oversee the preparation of accurate cost estimates for electrical projects.

    The successful candidate will play a key role in the bidding process, providing expertise and guidance to ensure competitive and profitable project proposals.


    Responsibilities:
    Lead the estimating process for electrical projects of varying size and complexity, from initial bid to final submission.
    Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
    Analyze project requirements and scope to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
    Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements.
    Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support the estimating process.
    Mentor and train junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise to support their professional development.
    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and address project specifications.
    Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.


    Requirements:


    Minimum of eight years of experience in electrical estimating, with a demonstrated track record of successfully bidding and securing projects.

    Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
    Proficiency in electrical estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or ConEst.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project documents and specifications.
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs and quantities.
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
