    Job Description

    American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 2+ years of experience, Epic proficiency, and ARDMS/RVT certification for a travel assignment covering outpatient and ED settings.

    Responsibilities
    Works in an outpatient and Emergency Department ultrasound setting at a community hospital
    Covers a broad patient population including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
    Performs general, abdominal, OB/GYN, renal/pelvis, small parts, and vascular ultrasound including carotid studies
    Vascular studies include Doppler, duplex, color flow, and upper/lower extremity arterial exams
    Works independently with access to a radiologist by phone when urgently needed
    Utilizes Siemens and Acuson equipment, PACS, and portable ultrasound
    Charts in Epic (experience required)

    Schedule is 4x9.5-hour evening shifts, Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–1:30 AM
    May be required to float to other Cone Health campuses as needed
    May assist with patient transport and movement in other modalities when ultrasound volume is low
    Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be accepted
    Orientation includes non-billable online modules averaging 2–4 hours, completed during orientation
    Education verification through a third-party provider is required
    All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration; RTO requests after submission will not be accepted
    The department operates as a team; techs are expected to assist with patient transport and support in other modalities during downtime

    Requirements
    Minimum 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience required
    First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
    Community hospital experience required
    ARRT, ARDMS, RVT, and RDMS AB/OB certifications required
    BLS required
    Proficiency with Siemens and Acuson ultrasound equipment required
    Epic EMR experience required
    Experience with general, abdominal, OB/GYN, renal/pelvis, small parts, and vascular ultrasound required
    Experience with Doppler studies and upper/lower extremity arterial exams required
    2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
    Copy of driver's license required for consideration
    License required if applicable
