    Preferred Qualifications

    Role Purpose

    The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a crucial role in delivering patient care under the guidance of healthcare providers. This position involves various responsibilities aimed at promoting patient well-being in line with established protocols and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Organize and restock supplies in examination rooms
    • Take vital signs, record patient histories, and ensure accurate documentation in patient records
    • Perform clinical tasks like phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and administering injections
    • Handle triage calls, communicate test results to patients, and provide pertinent information to healthcare providers using proper medical terminology
    • Assist providers in preparing patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    • High School Diploma or GED

    Preferred Requirements

    Experience

    • No prior experience required

    Supervisor Experience

    • No prior supervisory experience necessary

    Licenses & Certifications

    • Certification as a Medical Assistant
    • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
