Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated physician for an engaging role in a primary and post-acute setting, with focus on senior living communities and residents. This opportunity requires an individual who comes armed with the following qualifications:- A Doctorate Degree

- Active and Valid Medical Doctor (MD) Certification/License in North Carolina (NC)

Role Outline:

The chosen applicant will be adept at applying and tailoring the principles, methods, and techniques of medicine to provide comprehensive primary care and post-acute care services for geriatric patients. The role requires diagnostic acumen to identify and treat a variety of diseases and injuries while ensuring excellent service delivery and patient care. The physician will also be part of process improvement by evaluating procedures and proposing profitability-boosting ways of improving service delivery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Working autonomously to perform patient history and physical exams, and interpret and integrate data that lead to diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Order and interpret tests as per patient requirements.
• Developing appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment plans.
• Collaborate effectively, train and supervise Advance Practice Providers in managing acute and long-term medical requirements of patients.
• Maintain patient records, charts, and other pertinent information accurately and efficiently.
• Provide clear instructions and education to patients and their families about medications and treatment plans.
• Exercising autonomy in the domain of medical decision-making and providing a broad scope of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

• Profound medical practice knowledge related to primary care for geriatrics and senior living communities.
• Understanding of medical policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Skill set to develop and maintain medical quality assurance and control standards.
• Ability to respond calmly, objectively, and effectively in emergency situations.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Education:

Degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)

Experience:

• Previous experience in primary care with geriatrics, post-acute care including Senior Living, SNF, IPR and LTACH is preferred but not mandatory.
• Passion for value-based care.
• Prior experience in EHR documentation.
• Proficiency in documentation and billing in any setting above, or in the hospitalist setting.
• Aspire to provide quality care and willingness to join a team-first approach.

License/Certification:

• Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the hiring state.
• BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Current or processing DPS and DEA certificates.
