- Work a 12 hour Dupont Schedule which includes rotating shifts from nights to days, weekends, and holidays
- Learn and understand the basics of pipeline operations, including safety protocols, system controls, and emergency response procedures.
- Monitor pipeline operations through a computerized control system, identifying and addressing any abnormalities or deviations in the pipeline operations.
- Collaborate with experienced Pipeline Controllers and supervisors to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in pipeline operations.
- Respond to alarms and emergency situations, following established protocols to mitigate risks and minimize downtime.
- Communicate effectively with field personnel, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Document and maintain accurate records of pipeline operations, including shift reports, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
- Stay updated with industry regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies in pipeline operations.
- Participate in training programs and workshops provided by the company to develop expertise in pipeline operations.
- Complete internet based training as assigned by the training department
- Complete a review board and training simulator for Operator Qualification

Job DutiesSpecial assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their manager, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion
ExperienceA minimum of three years of pipeline control room experience, or five years of general work experience, or may substitute experience for a two year technical degree (Associate's Degree in a technical field), as well as having passed a mandatory training period is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the Military, machine operator experience in manufacturing, pipeline controller, or field technician is preferred
Education LevelA minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
Required SkillsMust have passed mandatory training period and Department of Transportation testing and obtained all required certifications. Mechanically inclined, working knowledge of pipeline control center board software, flow diagrams, and basic knowledge of overall pipeline operations, understanding and ability to comply with all Federal, State, Local, and Company regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and integrate new processes quickly and efficiently and follow instructions; self- motivated and able to work with limited supervision, and make quick decisions as needed. Ability to read, write, the ability to effecittvely communicate with others, both written and verbal communication skills, and perform mathematical calculations at a basic level.
Work ConditionsPipeline control room based. Must be available to work a flexible schedule (e.g., overtime, weekends, and holiday, rotating shifts).
Physical RequirementsJob conditions require sitting, talking, hearing, making visual inspections and making precise hand & finger movements. Job conditions may require standing, walking, reaching, grasping.
