    The Position The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for providing overall strategy, leadership, and direction of all financial activities to ensure the company is operating under accepted accounting principles.

    This individual will be responsible for implementing financial and governance strategy and will ensure compliance to all administrative matters including legal, audit, and tax requirements.

    This role requires a key focus on establishing effective systems and processes to enhance the financial management of the company.

    The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for facilitating best in class financial processes to support all company activities with an eye towards continuous optimization.

    The Vice President of Finance will report directly to the CFO. This position will have responsibility for leading all accounting, financial reporting, procurement and control teams within the company.
    Oversee all accounting and finance operations, maintaining a system of accounting policies and controls to mitigate risk and ensure accurate financial reporting

    Develop strong relationships with key business leaders to advise the senior management team pertaining to all financial matters related to the business.

    Managing relationships with internal and external auditors as well as other finance consultants
    Build and lead a high-performing finance team that serves as a trusted partner to the broader organization with the ability to scale as the organization grows
    Manage and lead the team in support of their individual career development
    Establish and maintain financial processes, internal controls and accounting policies according to company guidelines and direct compliance efforts for SOX 404b
    Oversee the internal and external reporting functions by supporting the team on SEC filings, monthly/quarterly/annual internal reporting and ad hoc analyses to ensure appropriate communication to key stakeholders
    Lead communications with the audit committee
    Provide development, oversight, and management of the organization's cash and investment strategy
    Manage external tax advisors to ensure compliance and timely preparation of tax returns and provisions as well as engage in ad hoc tax-related projects as necessary
    Manage insurance coverage for the organization, including collaboration with manufacturing, clinical, HR as well as compliance
    Represent the Finance department and support cross-functional initiatives and communications
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance as well as an advanced degree (MBA) is highly desirable. CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred.
    ~15+ years of experience functioning in a strategic leadership role with responsibilities for overseeing the company's financial matters and organization.
    ~ Must have a solid track record of success leading an organization through all stages of financial activities and transactions.
    ~ A track record of outstanding financial management skills including accounting financial reporting and controls.
    ~ Demonstrated ability to managing with integrity and maintaining highly sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
    ~ The ability to function in a rapidly growing environment and demonstrate creativity, select ability and innovative strategies pertaining to all financial matters is essential.
