ResponsibilitiesRoxbury is currently hiring a full-time Mental Health Therapist. This position works with adolescents ages and also assists on our adult psychiatric unit. The MH Therapist scheduled is day shift, Sunday - Thursday each week.
The Mental Health Therapist - assesses the patient's drug and alcohol and mental health history, establishes treatment goals and provides therapeutic and educational services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center .
Job Duties and Responsbilities:
Must possess knowledge of dual diagnosis/chemical dependency/mental health patients; age-specific patient issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis prevention and intervention techniques; knowledge and comprehension of regulatory agency standards (DOH, DPW, CMS, Joint Commission, etc.); staff development procedures and requirements; ability to communicate orally, telephonically, and in writing; working knowledge of computer systems and various software.
Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player. Good documentation, organization and time management skills are necessary. Must be effective in decision-making and problem solving.Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for over 35 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues.
Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as, an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg.

Mental Health Therapist Job Requirements:
Master's Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in Psychology or other related field which includes a practicum in health or human service agency preferred.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in Psychology or other related field and one year of clinical experience (minimum 1820 hours) in a health or human services agency required.
