    Job Description

    The role of the Process & Controls (I&C) Engineer II entails leading engineering efforts on project assignments for clients. This position involves gathering and analyzing technical data to develop a comprehensive design package that meets project requirements. Responsibilities include creating CAD drawings, compiling instrument lists, generating I/O lists, drafting specifications, and preparing related design documentation.

    The Engineer II may also be required to conduct physical work at clients' facilities as part of the design process.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Lead engineering efforts for single or multi-discipline projects
    Maintain effective communication with project team members, departments, suppliers, and clients
    Develop specifications and design documents, including instrument lists and I/O lists
    Specify hardware and design PLCs, Industrial Process Controllers, and related peripherals
    Perform basic field commissioning and start-up of process control systems
    Supervise and review the work of designers and engineers to ensure compliance with standards
    Adhere to all Chemstress policies, procedures, and safety standards


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Science Degree in a relevant engineering or basic science field; PE license preferred
    Two or more years of experience in Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers, Utility, Energy, or Manufacturing industries
    Proficiency in process instrumentation and control systems design and implementation
    Ability to perform sizing calculations for flow meters and control valves
    Experience with PLC specification, Operator Interface, and Process Automation Controllers; configuration knowledge preferred
    Familiarity with P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring schematic diagrams, and panel layout drawings
    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Revit and Autodesk CAD software (3D preferred)
