- Identifies and meets the educational needs of patients, families, and staff.
- Support staff in the care of psychiatric / behavioral health patients.
- Active participant in the Behavioral Health response team
- Participates in performance improvement activities, behavioral health regulatory events, attends educational programs, assists with policy/procedure development for behavioral health patients, attends unit meetings or other assigned meetings as indicated, align with DB division.
- Part time or PRN hours available (12 hours every 2 weeks)
- Sunday day shifts and evening shifts available
- Associate's Degree 3-5 years experience RN experience, behavioral health experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree BSN must be completed within 5 years of an employee's hire date. and 1-2 years experience experience as an RN, behavioral health experience preferred
- One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
- One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
- RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO

OverviewThe Psychiatric registered nurse (RN) provides services in inpatient and emergency clinical settings.
A psychiatric nurse works directly with pediatric patients with psychiatric problems, in addition to supporting the staff who provide direct patient care for pediatric patients with psychiatric problems.
The role is aimed at early intervention and treatment of children with mental illness, and includes interdisciplinary collaboration.The Psychiatric RN ensures that all clinical care is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical outcomes, quality assurance standards, staff and patient safety and staff and patient satisfaction.

ResponsibilitiesOur pay ranges are market competitive.
The pay range for this job begins at $30.47/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home
This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
