    As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you'll serve clients by conducting various nursing duties across numerous outpatient psychiatry, addictions, & housing services while implementing & maintaining the therapeutic client-clinic staff relationship.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Function as a resource person for nursing & medical issues, overseeing infectious disease control, client hygiene, and related health issues.
    • Perform nursing assessments per service line requirements, utilizing clinical competence.
    • Administer or oversee medication administration via various methods, maintaining documentation and conducting medication reviews.
    • Communicate with clients regarding medication questions and needs, facilitating refill requests.
    • Room clients, verify medical history, confirm visit purpose, and obtain preliminary requirements.
    • Complete required documentation in a timely manner, including assessments, interventions, education groups, and safety plans.
    • Ensure medical and medication records are up-to-date and accurate, completing prior authorization paperwork.
    • Assist with general lab and phlebotomy duties, following infection control precautions.
    • Coordinate communication of lab results to providers.
    • Interview clients, families, and guardians to gather pertinent nursing and medical history.
    • Participate in required meetings as assigned.
    • Perform other related duties as required, assigned, or delegated by nursing leadership.

    Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

    • Valid licensure as a Practical Nurse; one year of experience preferred.
    • Knowledge and implementation of safeguarding protected health information.
    • Ability to read, interpret, and follow documents, instructions, and manuals.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including therapeutic communication with clients.
    • Basic math skills and ability to apply common-sense understanding.
    • Ability to follow directions and accept supervision.

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Burrell Behavioral Health requires drivers of company vehicles and those using their own vehicles for business purposes to have the appropriate driver's license, insurance coverage, and meet the auto liability carrier's driver's criteria.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, and talk/hear.
    • Ability to walk and sometimes run up and down stairs.
    • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
    • Ability to perform duties indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
    • Moderate noise level in the work environment.
