Software Engineer (Java/AWS) - Hybrid in Bristol, CT, LA, Seattle or NYC

We are looking for a skilled Java and AWS Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our streaming platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, extensive experience with AWS cloud services, and expertise in building scalable and robust Spring Boot applications.

You will be on a Sports data

ingest team and work with the sports data providers (MLB, NFL, etc.) interfacing with their API's / data providers to get all of the sports data into their ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement high-performance and scalable Java applications using Spring Boot.
Use kafka to send data into MySQL database and work with distribution teams to provide the data for the apps
Work on the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to production deployment.
Utilize AWS services to architect, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions.
Optimize and enhance existing AWS infrastructure for improved performance, reliability, and scalability.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in adherence to industry best practices.
Conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure quality and identify potential issues.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of applications in a production environment.
Collaborate with other developers, architects, and product owners to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.


Requirements:
5+ years of professional experience in Java development.
Proven experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
Strong background in building and maintaining Spring Boot applications.
Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and others.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
