    Job Title: Senior Scientist at Bio-Rad


    As a Senior Scientist at Bio-Rad, your main focus will be utilizing your extensive knowledge of polymer chemistry to support the transfer of new products from the Chemistry R&D group to the Manufacturing group. Primarily centered around Bio-Rad's chromatography resins, you will also have the opportunity to work on various product lines. Working closely with the R&D team, you will gain insights on the production and testing of new products, develop new manufacturing procedures, organize development builds, provide training to Production partners, and collaborate on scale-up activities. Furthermore, you will collaborate with the QC team to set pass/fail specifications and conduct training on new tests, as well as work with the entire project team to establish and meet efficient timelines.


    How You'll Make an Impact:
    • Ensure a smooth transfer and successful launch of new products by closely collaborating with R&D and various manufacturing teams.
    • Develop robust production procedures, deliver hands-on training to Production staff, and ensure successful scale-up.
    • Create relevant and effective QC test procedures, provide training to QC personnel, and establish data-driven pass/fail specifications.
    • Assist with material setup in SAP.
    • Gain a thorough understanding of new products and their manufacturing processes to aid in troubleshooting.


    What You'll Bring:
    • Ph.D. (or Bachelor's degree with extensive experience) in chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, or related fields.
    • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
    • Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
    • Experience in the synthesis and characterization of polymers and/or chromatography resins.
    • Preferred experience in new product development, product transfer, and scale-up.
    • Bonus: Experience in protein purification, biochemistry concepts, and lab skills.

    Compensation:
    The estimated annual salary for this role ranges from $149,000 to $204,800. Actual compensation details will be provided in the job offer based on various factors like location, experience, skills, and Company performance. This position also qualifies for a variable annual bonus based on individual and Company achievements.
