If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's team as an O365 Messaging Security Engineer.

As part of our client's team, you will play a crucial role in managing, administering, and monitoring the security compliance of our client's statewide cloud-based messaging and collaboration systems. You'll collaborate with vendors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of these vital systems.

Responsibilities:

Statewide Cloud Security Oversight: Ensure the security compliance of our cloud-based messaging and collaboration systems, such as Office 365, MDM, MFA, ATP, Proofpoint, AAD Sync, AAD connect, and AD Federated Services.
Technical Support: Provide expert technical support for the Company's statewide cloud-based messaging and collaboration system. Be involved in its design, planning, implementation, operation, and maintenance.
Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors, Company Executive branch agencies, and other potential government-based customers as necessary.
Office 365 Compliance Center: Administer the Office 365 Compliance Center to govern data and service across Office 365, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
Active Directory Support: Provide expert support for the Microsoft ADFS user directory. Participate in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of the Federated service.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, server, active directory, ADFS issues related to cloud-based messaging and collaboration systems. Utilize various tools and utilities for effective troubleshooting.
On-Prem Servers/Software: Administer and manage on-prem software, implement security templates, perform auditing of security-related logs, and manage user groups and permissions.
Internal/External Agency Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, server, Active Directory, ADFS issues related to cloud-based messaging and collaboration systems.
Technical Tool Utilization: Utilize a range of tools and utilities such as Office 365 Admin tools, PowerShell, network analyzers, probes, telnet, SSH, nslookup, ping, tracert, Wireshark, rplmon, dcdiag, netdiag, custom MMC snap-ins, Exchange Administrator Center, repadmin, DNS, event logs, adsiedit, LDAP, perfmon, TCPView, process viewer, and other commonly used utilities.
Tier Three User Support: Provide tier three user support for advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for cloud-based messaging and collaboration systems.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Relevant coursework in Microsoft Active Directory, Electronic Mail and Collaboration systems, network operation systems, virtualization technologies, and storage area networks is beneficial.
Advanced training in Active Directory and Electronic messaging technologies is highly preferred.
Knowledge and experience with information system technologies, including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, PowerShell, electronic mail, collaboration systems, and associated maintenance tools.
Minimum 5 years of experience in complex IT system design and maintenance, with a focus on Microsoft Active Directory and electronic mail and collaboration technologies.
