    Software Engineer

    to join our team.

    This person will produce and deploy an electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) data repository to archive relevant source data, technical and operational descriptions of EMS dependent systems, and an easy-to-use database portal linking the EMS data repository to authorized users.

    The database portal will be capable of querying, manipulating, and displaying data via geographic and spreadsheet-style formats and will support additional widget tools for EMS data rendering.

    The position is in San Antonio, Texas on Lackland Air Force Base. Who We Are Bgesh, Incorporated is a Native American, Woman Owned Small Business.

    QUALIFICATIONS:


    Nine (9) years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or Seven (7) years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or Four (4) years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and Thirteen (13) years relevant experience.

    Ten (10) years of experience in software development
    Certifications/Licensure/Registration

    Active TS/SCI clearance
    Minimum Qualifications

    Ability to write functional Javascript code.
    Knowledge of and ability to produce SQL queries.

    S Citizenship:
    Workers performing under this contract must be US Citizens
    Must have a clear background in order to obtain security clearance
    Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications.
    Familiar with organizational structure and operation methods of Air Force.


    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
    Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Software Engineer family.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with PostgreSQL and Mongo databases.
    Experience integrating Javascript code and rendering data for display in ArcGIS.
    Experience with cloud-based technology.
    Five (5) years of software development project management experience.
    Experience in deploying software and obtaining authorities to operate on SIPRNet.
    Duties & Responsibilities

    Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
    Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
    Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
    Decomposes large portions of the database and portal designs into discrete components.
    Sequences and schedules work on coding individual system components.
    Writes Javascript code to produce system component modules.
    Tests and integrates component modules into the database and portal architecture.
    Provides client with weekly progress updates and drafts monthly status report inputs.
