    General Summary of Position

    MedStar Health Research Institute is actively recruiting for a Biorepository Research Coordinator I to join their team in Baltimore. This position will be based primarily at MedStar Franklin Square Cancer Center but will also travel to surrounding sites (e.g. Bel Air, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital) occasionally. The schedule is Monday through Friday day shift with rotating weekend emergency freezer coverage as needed.

    Under moderate supervision of the Biorepository Clinical Program Manager, the Biorepository Research Coordinator I is dedicated to acquisition, delivery, and processing of human biological samples for research. The Biorepository Research Coordinator I is responsible for specimen and clinical data collections from patients who consent to the biorepository study at multiple MedStar Health sites. Carries out efficient daily operations as well as supporting growth into future areas of service.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

    Experience

    • 1-2 years experience in related field required
    • One year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Must possess basic understanding of Good Clinical Practices (GCP) provided by the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).
