- Drive assigned route
- Transport students to and from school and other designated locations, while ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Routine maintenance
- Perform vehicle inspections and safety checks according to established procedures.
- Check fule, oil and fluid levels and fill accordingly.
- Maintain required mileage records.
- Clean vehicle, including sweeping floor, removing trash, wiping windows, etc.
- Check all lights, gauges, and switches for proper operation.
- Clean all mirrors and windows to ensure unobstructed vision and safely.
- Notify supervisor in case of defects or mechanical failures.
- Maintain order and discipline
- Monitor student behavior.
- Follow district policy regarding discipline and report any discipline problems to Transportation Director or Principal.
- Attend meetings and training
- Attend driver safety meetings, health and safety meetings, any necessary student discipinary meetings within the district.
- Attends training and workship opportunities as directed by the Transportation Director.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
