    Description
    We are seeking a receptionist for a fast-growing, San Diego-based company that is pioneering the production of seafood products derived directly from fish cells. As a receptionist, you will perform various clerical and administrative functions, work with a group of professionals, and support the department of Human Resources. Please note that this position is a temporary assignment (about 7 weeks or more). Essential Responsibilities:
    • Welcome guests, receive and guest information upon arrival through the visitor log
    • Respond to all requests in a courteous, professional manner at all times. Via in-person, phone, email, or online communications, and provide answers to inquiries
    • Ensure the reception area is kept neat, professional, and clean
    • Light filing
    • Manage temporary badge system
    • Handling special requests (occasionally arrange restaurant reservations, provide directions, etc.)
    • Perform administrative duties on an ad hoc basis
    • Office management support, which may include: light kitchen and restroom tidying up (wiping counters, refill soap, make coffee, remove trash, etc.), office supply stocking, copy/print, conference room setup up, pantry inventory, or light facilities, or mail
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • High school degree or higher
    • 3+ year experience in administrative or office services.
    • A positive and professional attitude and neat in appearance

    • Must be proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

    • The capability to use/learn technology such as: scanners, Adobe/Word, email, and professional messaging (Teams, Outlook).
    • Must be able to work immediately.

    Physical Demands:
    • Ability to work in research and pilot plant environment.
    • Requires sitting and standing, bending, stooping, and climbing.
    • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and laboratory results.
    • Requires lifting up to 40 pounds
    • Requires exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents.
    • Ability to work 8-hour shifts
