Are you an experienced Clinical Laboratory Supervisor seeking a rewarding opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a collaborative healthcare environment working for our client in a state hospital.
About the position:
This is a direct-hire, permanent position with the state of Washington offering excellent benefits including state pension. The facility is a renowned healthcare facility committed to providing high-quality care to our patients.
As the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our laboratory operations.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Directly hire, support, and supervise laboratory staff, overseeing complex patient testing in various areas including Phlebotomy, Hematology, Chemistry, and more.
Quality Assurance:
Maintain quality control and management programs to uphold standards set by regulatory bodies such as CAP, CMS, and CLIA.
Collaboration:
Act as the laboratory representative across the hospital, liaising with medical providers, nurses, and administrators to address laboratory and patient-related issues.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures in a hospital setting, including inspections and responses to maintain accreditation.
Requirements:
Certification:
ASCP certification or equivalent.
Education:
Master's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent applicable laboratory field, or Bachelor's degree with additional lead experience.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of clinical, chemical, public health, or related lab experience, with 2 years in a lead capacity.
Skills:
Proficiency in universal precautions, infection control practices, and effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications:
Valid Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification from the State of Washington and licensure as a Medical Technician/Technologist with ASCP or Clinical Laboratory Sciences certification.
