Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Supervise nursing staff assigned to shift.
• Complete performance evaluations on time.
• Provide guidance to staff.
• Recommend disciplinary actions as necessary.
• Oversee admissions and discharges from the facility.
• Check Veteran/Member areas to ensure proper care.
• Offer direct care when needed.
• Support nursing staff on clinical matters.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulations.
• Manage daily staff assignments effectively.
• Participate in staff selection and orientation.
• Assist in training and policy development.
• Conduct quality assurance audits.
• Take actions in emergency situations.
• Report significant issues to appropriate authorities.
• Participate in investigations.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and medication.
• Engage in AMS processes and QAPI program.
• Serve on committees and attend meetings.
• Complete special projects and cover staff duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of nursing practices in a skilled nursing setting.
• Experience in gerontological nursing and resident care.
• Understanding of aging effects and community resources.
• Proficiency in team nursing and treatment planning.
• Familiarity with pharmacology and regulations.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff.
• Skills in observation, problem-solving, and communication.
• A minimum of 1 year in a Skilled Nursing/Long-term Care facility.
• Active Registered Nurse license.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $66.00 per hour
