- Estimating time and materials needed to complete jobs.
- Work from blueprints, plans, and sketches.
- Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job.

Description
EngineerConducts technical reviews on engineering and construction proposals, reports, plans, and calculations Ensures plans, specifications, estimates, and reports comply with local, state, and federal requirements and regulations.
Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function. Ensures projects follow the public process and comply with City ordinances. Participates in public meetings, concept reviews, and communicates with customers. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesContacts may involve stressful, negative interactions with the public requiring high levels of tact and the ability to respond to aggressive interpersonal interactions.
Interactions have significant impact on the organization in terms of time, money, or public/employee relations. May assist in the collection of data in support of recommendations for departmental budget allocations. May monitor division or program/promotional level budget and expenditures. Education and ExperienceIf the candidate does not have a P.E., consideration may be given to hiring the candidate as an Engineering Specialist ($30.72 to $37.79/hour) Valid drivers license.
