Description

Our customer operates a leading position in the supply chain sector and offers a hybrid opportunity at their Commerce site located in Los Angeles.

We are in search of a highly experienced Senior Systems Engineer with a broad background in infrastructure and network administration. This position calls for a pro-active troubleshooter who can develop, deploy, and sustain scalable systems and networks following industry best practices and security protocols.

Main Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, encompassing servers, storage, networking devices, and virtualization environments.
Supervise and optimize network infrastructure to ensure top-notch availability, performance, and security.
Create and execute network security strategies to safeguard against online threats.
Set up and configure software and hardware elements to bolster IT infrastructure.
Administer network servers and tech tools, covering provisioning, setup, and upkeep.
Tackle problems and downtimes, applying fixes to reduce disruptions.
Automate daily tasks utilizing scripting languages such as PowerShell.
Offer technical direction and mentoring to less experienced team members.
Stay informed on emerging technologies and developments within the industry.

Requirements:

Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional background.
A minimum of 15 years of involvement in system engineering or network management.
Adept at configuring and resolving issues within Windows/Active Directory setups.
Hands-on exposure to network hardware and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Strong aptitude for addressing intricate technical problems and challenges.
Outstanding communication and people skills.
Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CompTIA Security+) is advantageous.
