    The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Administer and oversee CFA Institute's Finance-focused technology platforms (including but not limited to NetSuite ERP), and leadership of a team of system administrators
  • Ensure robust governance and change management of the finance environment including documentation, socialization, presentation, and approval through the relevant committees, steering groups and forums to enable a structured and informed decision-making process
  • Report on key trends from data gathered from JIRA and other systems to drive efficiencies and best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT and other parts of the organization to support integrations that share and move financial data and is the data steward for financially relevant data
  • Interfacing with other areas ensuring that business needs are being met and prioritized appropriately
  • Predicting and understanding opportunities for Finance and Risk to support new business enablement
  • Oversee and direct the administration of the organization's financial technology operations, processes, and related procedures
  • Collaborate with the Finance leadership team, CFO, and internal business stakeholders, to plan for technology solution changes driven by strategic, Finance, accounting (GAAP), or other priorities
  • Collaborate with the NetSuite Platform Owner (IT) and the Finance leadership team to enhance system functionality, digitize and automate processes and improve other critical functions in the core financial systems
  • Provide an escalation path for issues giving rise to audit or other risk exposure related to financial systems
  • Develop and expand cross-functional operational partnerships with Finance, business leaders, and IT to continually assess, develop and implement changes to the core financial systems to improve process efficiency
  • Manage internal SLAs with other enabling functions across Technology, HR etc.
  • Leverage vendor and third-party relationships in support of Finance systems
  • Manage overall vendor program to ensure efficient delivery and appropriate governance of vendor relationships. Ensure transition of work is carried out in risk managed fashion
  • Manage the relevant governance forums to ensure that CFA Institute's policies and procedures are being followed for Finance related issues
  • The skills and requirements of this role include:

  • Demonstrated success in managing an ERP, with NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • CPA or equivalent qualification (or hands on experience in accounting/month-end processes)
  • Understanding of GAAP, economics, and operational management methodologies
  • Certified Agile practitioner or similar qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, computer science, or education and equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in managing and successful leading teams
  • Experience documenting and conveying complex topics in an articulate, coherent, and digestible form for diverse business stakeholders including at the executive level, non-financial data stewards, accountants, IT, and end users of the financial systems
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint required, with the ability to develop and deliver concise and compelling presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation
  • High level of organizational and time management skills
  • Must demonstrate outstanding judgment and mature business skills with the ability to establish a strong rapport with senior management
  • Excellent consulting, problem solving, and analytical skills
