Job summary
We are hiring for a Plant Operator to work in our Operations department. This position reports to a Lead Plant Operator and is located in Inver Grove Heights, MN . The Plant Operator performs all functions for safely operating a Renewable Natural Gas Facility. This position shares accountability of the day-to-day operations of the site.The goals of this position are to maximize production and minimize downtime with the utmost regard to safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance.
This job requires physical effort such as that associated with driving a motorized vehicle, operating an ATV, using hand tools, and typing on a computer. Position requires moderate lifting (10-50lbs), occasional need to walk on irregular surfaces, and occasional stooping kneeling climbing or crouching Also requires the use of hands arms to operate examine gas meter flow meters hand tools power tools bridge jib cranes test diagnostic equipment.
Responsibilities include tuning adjusting plant systems ensuring final product meets quality standards for pipeline injection monitoring maintaining detailed records including production data equipment operational hours service schedules equipment outages daily checks operating blowing pretreatment chiller CO2 removal N2 removal O2 removal compression equipment performing maintenance repairs oil filter changes valve adjustments slide valves couplings bearings participating preventative maintenance overhauls keeping inventory stocked well organized responding callouts timely identifying correcting cause callout if problem cant be corrected diagnosed responsible contacting lead operator get help required fix situation Operating plant clear focus safety clean spills immediately make sure lighting systems fully functional slip trip hazards consistently present electrical mechanical hazards long periods time without attention affirm visitors mechanics contractors safe work practices.
