    Overview

    GovCIO is currently hiring for a Project Manager/Experience Delivery Lead to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO). This position is 100% remote.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for client interactions and ensuring coordination and desired outcomes are accomplished for OCTO initiatives. The environment is dynamic, and the client needs are often evolving. Flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.

    • Leads initiatives aligned to the VA Office of Information Technology (OIT) vision for digital transformation
    • Assists with developing and executing goals and objectives based on Agile, DevSecOps, and Human Centered Design best practices
    • Implements strategies to infuse stronger operational and engineering practices methods into the product development, delivery, and operations cultures
    • Liaisons across a diverse multi-disciplined, multi-faceted IT organization, serving millions of end-users and Veterans
    • Creates materials or leads development of OIT-wide SOPs, knowledge articles, white papers, etc.
    • Develops executive-level presentation materials and articulates related materials
    • Responsible for identifying, coordinating, and co-creating the lessons learned materials in written, video, and or live training mediums
    • Partners with Action Officers to ensure feedback mechanisms are dispatched, insights are captured, and actionable feedback is added to the backlog or processes are adjusted
    • Partners with SharePoint team to build and maintain presence
    • Manages all Code Yellow templates and Manual/SOP changes
    • Manages Teams folders and maintains organization and change maintenance procedures
    • Conducts research and analysis on end-user satisfaction as a mechanism for process improvements

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Masters degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research or related fields
    • 5 years professional experience
    • If no applicable degree, 8 to 10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
    • Experience taking broad requirements and requests and delivering robust solutions, products, and/or recommendations
    • Strong strategy development, management, and execution experience
    • Understanding of Human Centered Design principles, customer experience metrics, and other outcome and performance-oriented metrics
    • Strong analytical and investigative skills with ability to make connections, uncover patterns, and identify customer needs; crafting recommended solutions to inform leadership decisions
    • Experience working within distributed teams and remote environments
    • Excellent PowerPoint skills to build compelling presentations
    • Must be adaptable, curious, creative, and have a willingness to learn
    • Must be able to keep a self-managed team focused on the work
    • Must be able to identify and mitigate program risks, and escalate risks as necessary
    • Must be a problem solver

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    • Experience within the VA OIT
    • Experience working on Agile teams
    • Experience using Jira to capture project tasks, risks, and progress

    Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance

    Posted Pay Range

    The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

    Posted Salary Range

    USD $105, USD $120,000.00/Yr.
