    Purpose:The Grants Manager is a crucial part of our overall Development (Fundraising) Team. Working within a group of passionate and highly skilled professionals the Grant Manager assists and support the Foundation and Grants Director in all efforts of foundation and grant activities to secure funds for Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge. This position has the option of a hybrid work schedule. Salary range: $60,000-$68,500 DOQ

    Essential duties and responsibilities:
    • Assists the Foundation & Grants Director with researching grants, writing letters of inquiry and grant proposals for corporate, private foundations and government grants
    • This department and industry has a strong focus on relationships both internal and external. The Grant Manager must have the ability to build positive, long-term relationships with the decision makers at partner organizations (external). The right candidate will also have the ability to build cross-department relationships (internal) across MnTC.
    • Assists the Foundation & Grants Director with all aspects of grant calendar management and deadlines for existing foundation relationships.
    • Researches foundation databases for new grant opportunities
    • Writes grants or selected grant components
    • Gathers statistics and rationale to use in grants
    • Nurtures foundation relationships via personal meetings, phone calls and letters/notes
    • Inquires within various Teen Challenge departments about specific program/grant needs
    • Assists with grant reports and thank you letters
    • Maintain a master calendar of grant application deadlines
    Other duties
    • Proofread all out-going grant materials
    • Attend relevant seminars and training events when available
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or senior management.
    • Assists the Development Team as needed and available (donor communications, data base management, Teen Challenge events, etc.)
    Personnel Supervised:
    • Interns and student workers as assigned
    Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum of three years of grant writing and reporting experience.
    • Strongly preferred - proficient in Raiser's Edge software
    • Ability to initiate and maintain corporate contacts for fundraising purposes.
    • Strong administrative skills, including organization and word processing skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines and frequent interruptions.
    • Maintain professional standards of conduct and appearance with co-workers and the public.
    • Ability to successfully complete background check process.
