- Design, develop, and test apps/reports using Power BI, MS SQL, MS PRB, SSIS, DAX Studio, & Power Automate
- Maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of the data operations within the CDW and reporting/analytic layer used by Analytics
- Support all inbound/outbound data loads aligned with the Analytics team (e.g., Medical Claims ingestion, Lab Data ingestion, Milliman input/output, IINT input/output, IPro input/portal, Mt Sinai outbound data, ad hoc claims extracts, etc.)
- Perform a high level of programming in addition to reviewing, auditing, and analyzing data
- Develop/maintain upstream data QA process to check data accuracy and completeness before loading to any apps
- Retrieve and interpret product or regulation specs such as grouper input requirements, data requests, or federal transparency regulations
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of: common healthcare utilization & cost metrics, including HEDIS; available fund data and how it is standardized/used in production reporting; the overall effects of changes to DB design, table structures, & calculated metrics
- Maintain documentation of all development activity and review code development
- 5+ years of data analytics experience
- 5+ years of SQL Server stored procedures development
- 3+ years of Power BI experience -- dataset building, data flows, & metrics development
- Advanced development skills with SSIS, DAX Studio, & Power Automate
- Healthcare claims/codes experience -- claims processing, claims fields (Universal Medical Billing), codes (ICD 9/10, CPT, revenue codes, etc.)
- RDBMS best practices & DB schema knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in Healthcare, Informatics, Computer Science, Economics, etc.
