Patient Account Representative - Grand Forks, ND

The Patient Account Representative evaluates develops and implements action plans to arrange payment of outstanding balances Performs account analysis educates guarantors regarding payment issues on outstanding patient balances Assists guarantors who have minimal or no insurance coverage to determine a course of action to maximize prompt payment and minimize bad debt Initiates collection activities carries out collection follow up including working closely with the collection agencies on patient accounts and reconciliations that have gone to bad debt Posts payments adjustments on assigned accounts reviews processes self pay credit balances Receives responds to patient professional clinical inquiries in person by telephone provides accurate processing billing support Explains insurance benefits payments claim submission billing general Business Office procedures Reviews verifies evaluates demographic third party payer information as they are related to patient accounts Addresses patient complaints financial concerns any other issues in a courteous professional manner using resources available both internally externally Manages all incoming internal external customer phone calls e mails written correspondence by researching resolving documenting all issues concerns received Performs other duties as assigned needed meet needs department organization.
