    Wathena Healthcare is looking for a Night Nurse. Licensed LPN. Schedule will be 6PM - 6AM. Night Shift differental.     Qualifications & Details:

    To qualify for the position, you will need:

    • Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
    • A caring & loving personality and demeanor
    • Leadership and mentorship skills
    • The ability to work your scheduled shift
    • The ability to read, write & speak English


    As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) you are responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures.

    You will have all of the training, support, tools & equipment you need to provide the highest degree of quality care.

    Our team of nursing care professionals & mentors will be by your side every day, including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing and Administrator.


    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Enhancing the clinical care and quality of life of our residents. And ensuring that all resident rights are protected.
    • Preparing and administering medications as ordered by the physician.
    • Checking all residents daily to ensure that prescribed treatment is being properly administered by nursing personnel/assistants and to evaluate their physical and emotional status.
    • Keeping the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
    • Implementing recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.

    Administering professional services such as:

    catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc., as established by the facility's policies and procedures.


    • Completing all Licensed Practical Nurse LPN required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident's admission, discharge, transfer, etc. File in the resident's chart and/or forward to the appropriate department.
    • Giving and receiving nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
    • Investigating complaints and grievances and making necessary oral/written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
    • Presenting in a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
    • Adhering to our policies and standards.
