    If you are a technical leader looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an opening for you Based in our global headquarters location in Houston, Texas, you will have engineering responsibility for electrics / electronics design of our new actuation platform.

    In collaboration with local cross-disciplinary principal engineers and a global team, you conceptualize, develop, test, and launch new actuation products.


    As the electrical technical lead, you help the whole NPD team to deliver their best bringing to bear your personal experience and industry best practices coupled with insights you gain from others.


    The principal engineer who fills this role will possess a strong understanding of mechanical housing and drive train design in industrial applications.

    IN THIS ROLE,


    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:


    Take the lead role for overall electrical / electronic design efforts from platform and product conceptualization to design, prototyping, testing, qualification, ramp up, and launch.

    Achieve project requirements including timelines, cost, quality, human centered design criteria, design-for-manufacturing, design-for-sourcing, and other objectives.


    Coordinate technical activities across the global mechanical engineering team and collaborate closely with peers leading electronics, firmware, and software efforts.

    FOR THIS ROLE,


    YOU WILL NEED:
    Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering or related study.

    8+ years of electromechanical-based product engineering.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
    Master's degree or equivalent

    Experience in industrial equipment/devices, motor control, and industrial networking preferred.
