We are looking for engineers who have experience in bringing products from the early concept stages to production by working closely with design, validation, and manufacturing teams on solving technical problems along the way to make the most robust products.
If some of the first things that come to your mind when looking at a complex design is what are the ways this item can fail and how can I make it better? As a Design-for-Reliability Engineer focusing on the electric motor, gearbox, and advanced driveline designs, youll help Rivian develop robust products from concept to production phases .
W ork with a world-class team of design and validation engineers to come up with creative solutions to some of the most challenging engineering problems .
Be the resident reliability development expert to gearbox, driveline , and motor design teams and help these teams to implement Design for Reliability activities throughout the design cyclesDevelop reliability testing plans for gearbox, driveline, and eAxle products in collaboration with validation engineers.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering.(Mechanical engineering preferred)
~3+ years of industry experience in a reliability engineering role.
~ Working knowledge of a coding language, preferably Python.
Working knowledge of statistical software for reliability, such as JMP or the ReliaSoft suite.
Knowledge of interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, tolerance stacks, system and component design of gears, bearings, and housings.
Exposure to failure analysis of gearbox, bearing, eAxle , and driveline components
Understanding of governing equations for different types of drive unit mechanical failure mechanisms.
