    We are seeking a Substation Protection & Control Engineer to join us in Portland, OR. This role involves designing projects for electric utilities, ranging from 12kV to 500kV. You'll dive into the dynamic field of power systems, exploring how renewable energy integrates into the electrical grid. Ideal candidates will apply their knowledge of digital logic design, AC/DC circuits to create innovative substation electrical projects.

    Remote work options are available for those not in the immediate office vicinity, within specific service areas (WA, OR, UT, CA, ID, MT).

    We are hiring Mid, Senior, Lead Level Electrical Engineers in Portland, OR to drive design and planning for electric facilities. Responsibilities include creating designs, schematics, and ensuring quality control for substations, along with conducting studies for transmission and distribution systems.

    Responsibilities:

    • Relay One Line Design
    • Three Line AC Schematic Design
    • DC Protection Schematic Design
    • Panel Layout and Wiring Design
    • Project Lifecycle Support
    • Ensuring Compliance with Safety Standards
    • Adhering to Client Design Requirements
    • Creating Technical Drawings

    Candidates must maintain quality control, adhere to safety practices, and deliver within project parameters. Collaboration with a team of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians is crucial for successful project implementation.


    Requirements:

    • Mid-Level: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience
    • Senior Level: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience
    • Lead Level: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience
    • Hands-on experience in substation projects
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Proficiency in reading and designing electrical drawings
    • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
    • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
    • Strong computer skills and willingness to travel

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Engineer Intern Certification
    • Professional Engineer License
    • Experience in quality control for substation projects
    • CAD software proficiency
    • Master's degree in a relevant field
    • Field testing/commissioning experience
