Job description
Safran USA is seeking a hands-on Cloud & Infrastructure Manager to lead hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure operations in a shared-services environment.
This role is responsible for maintaining operational stability across AWS cloud environments, on-prem infrastructure, and shared perimeter security while leading a small team of infrastructure and network engineers.
AWS (commercial or GovCloud experience a plus)
VMware / on-prem virtualization
Enterprise networking & firewall governance
Identity & access controls (AD / Azure AD)
Backup & disaster recovery
Monitoring & operational stability
Shared-services hosting for internal business units
Key Responsibilities
1- Hybrid Infrastructure Operations
- Manage daytoday operations of AWS and onprem systems
- Oversee VMware clusters, servers, storage, and networking
- Ensure high availability and performance of hosted workloads
- Maintain documented infrastructure standards
- Manage AWS resources, IAM roles, and access controls
- Enforce MFA and leastprivilege practices
- Support cloud cost visibility and optimization
- Assist in cloud modernization initiatives
- Govern firewall policies and segmentation controls
- Oversee VPN and remote access configuration
- Maintain change control discipline for perimeter updates
- Validate HA and failover readiness
Support alignment with internal security standards
Maintain documentation and evidence for audits
Oversee vulnerability remediation coordination
Ensure log retention and monitoring coverage
5-Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor infrastructure & network engineers
- Establish runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Coordinate with application and security teams
- Serve as escalation point for complex issues
