Job description
A school-based role is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatric care, located in Adelanto, CA. This contract position involves in-person services during the school year, focusing on providing speech therapy and support to students with diverse communication needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy to school-aged students, including those diagnosed with Autism.
- Implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student goals and educational requirements.
- Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to support student progress.
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and state regulations.
- Provide therapy services within the school environment, fostering effective communication skills for academic success.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) with experience in pediatric and school-based settings.
- Comfort and experience working with students on the Autism spectrum.
- Familiarity with teletherapy methods is a plus, though the role is in-person only.
- Completion or current enrollment in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with support staff, including Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Location:
- This position serves the school's campus in Lancaster, CA, requiring daily on-site presence.
