    **Job Title:** Field Service Power Generation Technician

    We are looking for a talented and skilled Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team at Cummins, specializing in Power Generation.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by:

    • Completing preventative maintenance and basic repair activities on generators or components at customer sites with minimal direction.
    • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Applying specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
    • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims via business system input screens.
    • Participating in training programs in line with skill and business requirements.

    To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

    • Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
    • Experience working with High Voltage/Low Voltage systems.
    • The ability to perform electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision.
    • Hands-on experience working on power generation products.

    You will also have the opportunity to work on complex diagnosis and repair, and will be responsible for:

    • Diagnostics Application: Translating customer complaints into troubleshooting plans, diagnosing issues using guided workflows, procedures, and specialized equipment.
    • Electronic Service Tool Application: Identifying required tools and utilizing electronic tool sets to maintain products or diagnose issues.
    • Engine Systems Interactions: Analyzing interactions between internal and external electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Power Generation Systems Knowledge: Demonstrating knowledge of Cummins and industry standards, complying with safe work procedures, and interpreting Power Generation system operation and integration.
    • Product Repair and Maintenance: Repairs and maintaining mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, inspecting and replacing parts and components.
    • Service Documentation: Creating and verifying customer, equipment, and technical information, capturing specific data using required service tools.
    • Technical Escalation: Obtaining product technical issue information, utilizing available resources, and escalating issues to higher levels of expertise.

    This role requires:

    • A current valid driver's license.
    • A 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
    • A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
    • 3 years driving experience.
    • Compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations, including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.
