    The candidate will be responsible for research and development of a Data Retention Application within the Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) team by leveraging industry and big data platform tools.


    Candidate is expected to be an expert-level professional providing expert content/professional leadership on complex Cloud Engineering assignments/projects; exercising considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives; uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders; focuses on providing thought leadership within own discipline but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business; recognized internally as a subject matter expert.

    Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture. Supports development and execution of cloud implementation strategy within organization's existing IT infrastructure. May work with stakeholders across organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions.


    Responsibilities:
    Function as a hands-on developer of the ILM-Data Retention team - participating in design, document, develop, deploy, and maintenance of processes using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

    Build solid and robust technical solutions to support the delivery of Enterprise Data Retention functions on-premise and cloud environments (AWS)

    Ensure adherence to existing strategic direction and architectural strategies

    Work with engineers and developers to design and build scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines with latest open source resources

    Develop automated processes for infrastructure builds, monitoring, deployments and integration.

    Ensure application observability patterns and site reliability practices

    Develop AWS cloud platform using AWS EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions and others resources

    DevOps IAC development using Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, and others


    Ideal candidates should have:
    At least 5 plus years of recent experience in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications in a distributed environment and cloud (AWS)

    Proven track-record of quality software development and delivery in the cloud

    Experience creating benchmark tests, designing for scalability and performance, and designing/integrating solutions

    Drive complex ideas into an implementation plan

    Ability to evaluate the emerging vs. more established technologies

    Ability to perform detailed analysis both technical and business

    Strong oral and written communication skills

    Understanding of Health Insurance Business


    Required Skills/Qualifications:
    Development on AWS cloud platform using AWS EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, Airflow, Glue, Step Function and others resources

    IAC development using Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, and others

    Proficient in procedural, functional and object oriented languages

    Experience with application observability patterns and site reliability practices

    Experience with developing complex applications with relational database systems (RDBMS). SQL Proficiency

    3+ years software development experience with ETL and Big Data platforms

    Strong automation background:
    emphasis on CI/CD, TDD

    Required knowledge in using the following technologies:

    Python, Java, Kotlin, Scala, SQL

    AWS (EMR/Spark, S3, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, Airflow, Glue, Athena, Step Functions)

    CI/CD - GIT, Jenkins, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

    Agile Tools (Rally/Jira)

    API Frameworks (Flask, Fast API, Spring Boot)


    Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
    Background in systems architecture

    Proficient in developing APIs and micro services architecture

    Open source savvy, possessing experience using common open source libraries/frameworks
