    Opening for

    BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONIST - JOHN ADAMS MIDDLE SCHOOL

    Summary: Responsible for processing and re-teaching appropriate student behaviors that lead to positive social interactions across a variety of settings. Supports the academic, social, and emotional needs of students.

    • You must meet one of the state's "Highly Qualified" requirements to be eligible for this position: a two or four year degree (AA or BA) or you have completed the paraeducator course through the AEA and have been issued the Paraeducator Certification from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE)
    • Para Certification or AA start at $17.50/hr
    • BA starts at $18.20/hr
    • Benefits include district-paid single health insurance
    • Experience with student behavioral supports preferred
    • CPI or TCI experience preferred
    • Emotional maturity and stability necessary for the specialized work involved
