    Walt Disney Imagineering is the master planning, creative design, engineering, production, project management, and research and development arm of Disney's Parks and Resorts business segment.

    Representing more than 150 fields, its expert teams of Imagineers are managing the creation of Disney resorts, theme parks and attractions, hotels, water parks, real estate developments, regional entertainment venues, cruise ships and new media technology projects.

    Our processes and tool sets take us from concept design or mock-ups all the way through to full-on production, assembly, and installation.

    This position will report to the Illusion Production Manager Senior.
    Developing sourcing and procurement strategies across all products within the Studio, focusing on Audio-Animatronics
    Build a strong and reliable vendor base by continuously sourcing new suppliers, building partnerships with key vendors, and seeking out innovative manufacturing techniques/processes for our components & assemblies

    Work cross-functionally between engineering, production, scheduling, and project management teams to establish and implement procurement strategies for all of the projects supported the Studio.

    Lead the development of vendor performance measurements, including tracking performance for both delivery and quality metrics to improve reliability of our vendor base
    Engage in the early stages of product development to provide guidance and steer the feasibility, cost, and risk of designs from a procurement perspective

    Serve as the point of contact to studio leadership for developing both financial and lead time estimates around procurement activities.

    Apply previous performance data to standardize the estimating & scheduling processes at various stages of the project lifecycle
    Experience with developing high-level sourcing, procurement, and inventory strategies for diverse materials.
    ~ Ability to steer discussion and decision-making regarding sourcing and procurement of various mechanical and electrical components/assemblies
    ~ Basic familiarity with analysis techniques and tools used to compile and communicate data across teams (i.e. Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.)

    Experience with establishing and implementing standards for vendor performance, including component quality and timely delivery, in order to maximize reliability of the supply chain base
    Provide perspective during the design process as it relates to availability, cost and/or risk in the procurement process
    Experience supporting procurement/purchasing activities in the aerospace, automotive, or equivalent industries, with a focus on new products
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain disciplines
