- Collaborates with medical staff, nursing leadership, nursing staff,and other clinicians to develop, implement, and monitor effectiveness ofevidence-based protocols.
- Provides leadership by participating in human resources managementprocesses including recruitment, selection, orientation, professionaldevelopment, competency assessment, and annual performance evaluations.
- Assists with the development and implementation of a performanceimprovement program for areas of responsibility.
- Reviews staffing patterns, census, and acuity of nursing units toverify staffing is consistent with patient needs. Adjusts such staffingpatterns to meet productivity and benchmarks, based on hospital mission.
- Assists with daily patient care and assists where needed duringtimes of high volume and high acuity as needed.
