    JOB SUMMARY
    Perform assigned duties in the preparation, verification, packaging and shipping of goods for Materials distribution. The Materials Coordinator must be able to establish daily priorities for assigned area or tasks.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Works on assignments that are routine in nature where some judgment is required
    • Must have the ability to trouble-shoot warehouse issues for the Material Coordinator"s assigned area
    • Must be trained on all aspects of Materials Coordinator
    MAJOR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

    • Maintain order and organization of the work area including compacting boxes
    • Takes ownership of assigned area
    • Proficient in several warehouse areas/functions: shipping systems, shipping components, kitting, shortages, receiving, pulling sales orders, wip receipts, locating stock and production support
    • Process the data entry duties either on the ERP system or handheld bar code device
    • Perform daily cycle counts as needed
    • Create repair work order for non-conforming material from production and update work orders notes with parts being replaced
    • Process material transfer orders (MTO) for both the Fremont and the Lathrop facilities
    • Verify all work to eliminate errors
    • Request help when needed
    • Interface with internal and external customers
    • Maintain warehouse equipment including but not limited to printers, tape dispensers, fork-lift, insta-pak machines and compactor (removing bales)
    • Maintain necessary files and documentation
    • Follow procedures as established in Company quality manual
    • All other duties as assigned

    Details:
    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

    • High school graduate or equivalent
    • 3-5 years related warehouse experience in a production environment
    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Reading, writing and basic math skills
    • PC literate with experience in MS Word, Excel and database programs
    • Forklift certification preferred (may be trained at facility)

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    • Lifting/carrying occurs approximately 80% of the time while performing various job duties
    • Reaching occurs at all levels with full or less than full extension of the arms
    • Handling/grasping occur approximately 100% of the time. Both hands are utilized when operating computer keyboard and the dominant hand is utilized when completing paperwork. Fine manipulation when utilizing writing tools or keyboarding.
    • Pushing/pulling and lifting occurs approximately 80% of the time. Weight ranges up to 70 pounds and can occur above or below waist level. Duration will vary with task being performed.
    • Sitting occurs up to 30% of the time for brief or extended periods
    • Standing/walking occurs up to 100% of the time on concrete floors
    • Work is performed in a warehouse. Exposure to noise is moderate
    • Exposure to chemical fumes is minimal
    • Additional physical requirements may include: bending/stooping when utilizing file drawers and climbing/balancing when utilizing stairs to access the work area
