Position Title: Oracle Apps DBA

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Contract: 12+ months

Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field and Seven years of job-related experience working with Oracle databases, Oracle Real Application Cluster, Oracle Grid Control, Oracle E-Business Suite, LINUX and Windows Server operating systems with a strong focus in Oracle Cloud engineering.
• Must have knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of application development, system design, and computer operations. Proficient with shell scripting, SQL, PL/SQL.
• Proficient in the knowledge, principles, practices and techniques of application development, systems design, computer operations, network and SAN systems.
• Identify and define user task needs, to process information logically, and to conduct short-range and long-range project planning studies.
• This role can involve tight deadlines and when necessary, long hours, weekends, and nights. Must be available to participate in on-call rotation. In lieu of a degree, directly related job experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
• Plans, schedules, and conducts regular restore/recovery tests from database backups, archived data, and disaster recovery tests.
• Ensures enforcement of database access, controls and security policies.
• Patches Oracle Database Servers, Oracle E-Business Suites, Oracle Cloud and Oracle Development Tools.
• Have proficiency and expertise with replication tools such as Oracle Data Guard, Active Data Guard, Oracle Golden Gate, Oracle RAC, Materialized Views, Oracle Cloud.
• Keeps databases updated by planning, scheduling, testing, and implementing database and security patches, database and hardware upgrades and coordinating closely with Application, Server, SAN, and Network teams.
• Performs data migration from development to QA (Quality Assurance) and to production environments.
