- Accompany provider(s) into patient examination room to accurately and efficiently document the encounter.
- Exhibit excellence in medical and diagnosis terminology.
- Dermatology experience preferred.

- Answer inquiries of patients, including assisting patients in accessing other services offered by the clinic
- Prepares exam rooms for patient care, and facilitating the use of diagnostic equipment
- Measures, collects and records patient's vital signs and prepares patients for examinations and tests, procedures and x-rays
- Performs routine patient testing, acquires and processes electrocardiograms, and collects and processes blood specimens and urine samples
- Manage electronic patient files
- Accurately update and maintain patients' health records
- Communicate test results to patients when directed by physicians or nursing professionals
- Front office duties such as, but not limited to:
- Greeting patients, guests and business representatives as they enter the clinic and determine their reason for visit
- Gather identification documents and complete patient registration process, including data entry
- Complete patient check-in and check-out processes
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Complete payment transactions, including collection of payment
- Complete insurance verification and eligibility, assist the billing department with processing claims
- On occasion, complete pre-cert and authorization when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma and/or MA certificate
- Medical Scribe Certificate preferred
- 55 wpm or greater with accuracy
- At least 1 year of medical scribe experience
- Medical terminology required
- Dermatology and anatomy terminology preferred
- Billing and coding knowledge preferred
- Computer Savvy and Excellent typing skills
- Advanced use of medical terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong character and integrity
- Maintain high level of professionalism
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time
- Active Medical Assistant Certification required
- Active BLS CPR Certification required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous work in a medical office, clinic, or physician practice, 2+ years preferred
- Requires light to medium lifting, up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel to various clinic sites, required
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to access and navigate each department and clinic site
- Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to commute to the clinic location

Job Description
MA/Medical Scribe needed for fast paced Dermatology department located in Phoenix. The scribe will work closely with the provider transcribing charts, navigating the Electronic Health Record. The Scribe will provide accurate, timely charting of patient encounters, including but not limited to patient history, physical exams, diagnostic findings, lab and test results, diagnoses, discharge instructions and prescriptions. The medical scribe will be responsible for keeping the physician moving in the office during clinical hours.
