    As Barry-Wehmiller continues its journey, the Health & Safety of all team members remains a company priority, so we have identified this exciting and challenging new role to enhance the safety team. The Corporate Safety Collaborator will play both a supporting role to the Global Safety Leader plus EHS supporting role for all Manufacturing Operations in North America coaching Safety and sustainability across all business units. The Corporate Safety Collaborator will be a key partner to the BW Safety Board and will play a supporting role in developing and implementing actions, strategies and processes that deliver short-term results while simultaneously enhancing the long-term BW EHS sustainability capabilities at all locations.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Promote a truly Safety-First EHS culture for all within the Barry Wehmiller family.
  • Drive compliance towards all relevant OSHA environmental Safety regulations and seek alignment to all BW Safety standards.
  • Promote alignment for all US teams with established practices within the EHS framework.
  • Support team member Safety training.
  • A liaison between the TPA for workers compensation, the business, and the team member. .
  • Coach towards clear goals/ KPI's and formal recognition of resulting progress.
  • Provide an easily accessible level of support to all North America locations as they develop their local Safety practices.
  • Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety & health / business / loss prevention or a visible work history demonstrating relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of EHS, OSHA, and Workers Compensation experience in a complex, multisite manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leader / project manager with excellent communications and presentation skills.
  • Organized, analytical, self-motivator with a strong attention to detail.
  • Track record of implementing performance enhancing standards/excellence.
  • Hazard/Risk Assessment process skills. Hazardous material control.
  • Experienced in State plans vs Federal regulatory requirements in EHS compliance.
  • Previous Arc flash risk mitigation (NFPA 70E)
  • Knowledgeable on ISNetworld and ISO 45001/ ISO 9001.
  • Competent in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Workday, Excel, PowerBI
