    This position involves assessing and treating patients with inpatient physical therapy programs as prescribed by physicians. The role entails collaborating with the healthcare team to transition patients to the most suitable post-acute or home care for achieving individual patient goals.

    Position: Physical Therapist (PT)

    Location: OMC New Orleans (Jeff Highway)

    Department: Acute Care

    Hours: PRN

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
    • No prior work experience required
    • Current physical therapy license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

    Key Skills and Abilities:

    • Proficient in using computers, software, and web-based applications
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient care
    • Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities in diverse patient scenarios
    • Solid interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to travel between facilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct patient evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans
    • Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust plans as needed for optimal outcomes and safety
    • Maintain accurate patient records according to established standards
    • Ensure treatment protocols align with hospital quality and safety objectives
    • Adapt communication and services to suit the diverse patient population
    • Fulfill any other assigned duties as needed
