    The Part-Time Recruitment Coordinator for Early Childhood Workforce Projects reports to the Dean of Professional Studies and focuses on recruiting and supporting students through the enrollment process into grant-funded Early Childhood Education programs.

    Duties include:

    • Monitor and respond to prospective student inquiries submitted via web form, email, and phone.
    • Conduct initial intake screening with prospective students to determine program eligibility.
    • Refer prospective student inquiries to appropriate college personnel when not eligible for grant program.
    • Support eligible students through the BHCC enrollment process, including submission of required documentation.
    • Maintain accurate records to ensure students transition smoothly from recruitment to participant stage of the program.
    • Work collaboratively with other project staff including sharing of information, record-keeping.
    • Assist with the advisement and registration of new and continuing students regarding their academic plan, course selection/sequencing, career exploration.
    • Create and deliver culturally responsive student services and programming aimed at improving student access, engagement, retention, and graduation.
    Job Requirements:
    • Experience working with diverse students in a fast-paced student services/client services or equivalent setting.
    • Demonstrates ability to collaborate effectively with a range of different academic and non-academic units, and community-based organizations.
    • Excellent intercultural, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in student information systems as well as MS Word and Excel.
    • Ability to work with diverse faculty/staff/student population.
    • Demonstrates and possesses a strong understanding of cultural competency and how to communicate effectively with different audiences.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese or Haitian Creole.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
    • Experience working with underrepresented groups.
    • Experience working at a community college, nonprofit and/or community-based organization.
    Additional Information:

    Salary: $32.00 @ 18.5/hrs. week
