Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, executes, and assesses the nursing care given to a group of patients. Leading the nursing team under the physician's directives and in cooperation with other healthcare providers following the values and policies of ProMedica Acute Care Hospitals. Actively contributing to building an environment that enhances patient, family, physician, and employee satisfaction. Making decisions based on patient-centered care philosophy, sticking to evidence-based practices, and emphasizing safety, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
Scope of Service:
The Registered Nurse offers nursing care to individuals and groups requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills from biological, physical, behavioral, social, spiritual/cultural, and nursing sciences principles. Functioning within the full scope of nursing practice according to each state's Board of Nursing along with adherence to hospital accrediting bodies.

- Current State RN license.
- Updated CPR certification.
- Relevant specialty certifications.
- Preferably holds a BSN.
- Ohio RNs must complete twenty-four contact hours of continuing education within their licensure period, with at least 1 hour related to Chapter 4723 of the Ohio nurse practice code and rules.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Demonstrates understanding and proper use of standard precautions and PPE.
- Proficient in safe patient handling equipment usage.Physical Demands
- Should be comfortable with exposure to various elements like dust, fumes, chemicals, and bloodborne pathogens.
- Must meet all health requirements specified by the organization.
- Capable of moving around the hospital and between workstations, with prolonged periods of standing. Should be able to lift patients or equipment and perform continuous movement activities.
- Some sitting, stairs climbing, and kneeling may be required.
